Focus 2 Achieve

Innovate Create Educate

I blog on Brain-Based Learning, Metacognition, EdTech, and Social-Emotional Learning. I am the author of the Crush School Series of Books, which help students understand how their brains process information and learn. I also wrote The Power of Three: How to Simplify Your Life to Amplify Your Personal and Professional Success, but be warned that it's meant for adults who want to thrive and are comfortable with four letter words.

My name is Oskar Cymerman. I am a husband, a father, and an educator.

My mission is to change the world of education by providing teachers and parents with tools that empower them to teach and advocate for the best education for their kids.

There are 3 things I love doing as a professional:

  1. Teaching: If you're going to do something, you might as well love it. I teach students and help teachers reinvent themselves via my blog, books, and workshops.
  2. Writing/Creating: I reflect in writing and create infographics. I blog 2-3 times per week and constantly work on a new book or two. I also make learning infographics I give away for free. Check them out by clicking on the products tab above. Leave the credit card info blank. Also, take a peek at my Amazon Author page.
  3. Talking: I talk to students, teachers, and leaders. My main goal is to inspire them to change the education so it is more accessible, beneficial, and fun for students. I am also contemplating teaching others about self-publishing.

My first book "Crush School: Every Student's Guide To Killing It In The Classroom," helps middle and high school students learn effectively using proven brain based strategies.

My follow up book "Crush School 2: 10 Study Secrets Every High Schooler Should Know," is a 42 page book any student can put in their backpack or purse and use whenever he or she needs a study tip or a way to do school better.

I regularly blog and appear on educational podcasts sharing ideas on 21st century teaching and learning and flexible learning environments.

Check out my interviews on Educators Lead, Every Classroom Matters, My BAD, and Education Talk Radio.
